Yoyo’s Offseason Plan

PREAMBLE

In order to keep the young talent (Giolito, Vaughn, Madrigal, Cease, Dunning) Sox need to avoid getting into long term contracts with 30+ year old vets. Maybe there is one guy out there that is a difference maker for us, but it usually seems to not end well. Thank you Dallas Keuchel for a breath of fresh air!

SUMMARY

I think most teams play it cautiously cheap, except for a few. Bauer, Stroman, and Springer will be rumored for us but Sox are passed up. Plan B circles around and Sox pick up two starters and Joc on short term deals. Even with Covid financial scare, Reinsdorf allows Sox to add to the budget some since its on a short term basis and their window is open.
